Light Factory

Light Factory is made up of small groups, each with a designated leader and a team of volunteer helpers.

Each group has its own programme designed to be understandable and relevant to the age and learning styles of each child and the group as a whole. A variety of activities are used including games, challenges, puzzles, craft and drama which vary each Sunday.

Light factory is for children and young people as an alternative to the main teaching programme in the Sunday services. The Bible based teaching aims to help them learn about God’s love and grace and to encourage them as disciples of Jesus as they learn to follow Him. The service leaders will announce when it is time for the children and teens to leave for their groups and stewards will be able to direct them. Children who haven’t started school yet will have to be registered and all those under 11 years need to be collected at the end of the session.

Morning Arrangements

• Creche (lower hall) 0 to 2½ year olds. The leader is Heather Saville.
• Stars (seminar room 2) 2½ to 4½ year olds. The leader is Barbara Rowlands.
• Children in reception to year 6 (upper hall) 4½ to 11 year olds. Leaders are Sue Linger and Anne Burr
• Young Teens Group (seminar room 1) school years 7 & 8, 11 to 13 year olds. Leaders are Sarah Silman and Amanda Wilson.
• Teens Group (Paul's Office) School years 9 to 11, 13 to 16 year olds. Leaders are Pete Ritchie, Maudrian Sewell.

Evening arrangements:

• Creche (second and fourth Sundays only, seminar room 2) 0 to 4½ year olds. Led by Jo Elgar
• Primary school age (seminar room 1) 5 to 11 year olds. Led by Sue Parrotte.
• Teens group (seminar room 2) 11 to 15 year olds. Led by Lesley Hodgson, Tim & Lou Acton.
