Reading is Matthew 1:18-25 ("The Birth of Jesus Christ"), with references to Isaiah 7:14 & 9:6-7, Jesus's birth as told in Luke 2, John 1:45 & 6:42, and Genesis 3 ("Human Disobedience"). This was the second Sunday in Advent, and the sermon was followed by Communion.
