Where to find us

Central Baptist Church is about a 3 minute walk from Chelmsford station, and a similar distance from the bus station.

On Sundays, there's no parking available in the car park outside church (though contact us if that's going to make getting to us difficult for you, we'll help you get to us). Scroll down to get suggestions for where to park on Sundays.

Parking on Sundays

The church doesn't have its own car park but being a city-centre church, there are a number of public car parks within a few minutes' walk.

We recommend parking in Fairfield Road Car Park (CM1 1TD). This is the one for the Civic Theatre that you can access via Coval Lane. They charge £2 for all day, so you can use it for both services. Allow 3 minutes to walk to church.

Other car parks are available too:

Coval Lane car park (CM1 1TG) is just 5 minutes' walk from the church and has an all day charge on Sunday of £1.50. It is in Coval Lane, and can only be driven into via Parkway and Rainsford Road.

Townfield Street car park (CM1 1QX) is about 5 minutes' walk from the church and on Sundays has an all day charge of £1.50, but closes at 6pm. Access is via Railway Street by Chelmsford railway station.

High Chelmer car park (CM1 1LU) is about 3 minutes' walk from the church and has an up to two hour charge of £2.50, and up to 3 hour charge of £3.20. It can be accessed via Bellmead (road).
